Betty Jo Dugger

Betty Jo Dugger, 86 of New Castle passed away Friday, November 10, 2017 at Glen Oaks Health Campus. She was born September 3, 1931 in Burnside, Kentucky to the late Vetchal and Lytha (Walden) Martin.

She retired from Dana and was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Betty Jo enjoyed family vacations, camping, swimming and family dinners. She was an avid New Castle Trojan Basketball fan and loved attending every sporting event that her grandchildren played in.

She is survived by children, Teresa Jones, Danny (Carol) Dugger and Sandra Dugger, grandchildren, Laura (Chad) Brown, Lynne Bennett, Benjamin Ballard, Carly Osman and Chelsea Dugger, great-grandchildren, Maura (Korbin) Fowler, Titen Bennett, Samir Osman, Korben Ballard, a sister, Mary Gibson, a brother, Charles Martin, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, George Dugger.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to the staff at Glen Oaks Health Campus for the wonderful care shown toward Betty Jo.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Denny Neal officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery West Lawn Addition. Visitation will be from 5 – 7 p.m. Monday, November 13 at the funeral home.
