Betty Kirk, 89, of Knightstown passed away Monday, November 12, 2018 at Heritage House Nursing Home. She was born April 6, 1929 in New Castle to the late Ernest and Alta (Winkler) Mendenhall.
She was a 1949 graduate of New Castle High School. Betty enjoyed reading, crocheting, working cross word puzzles and spending time with her family. She was retired from Katz, Sapper & Miller Accounting Firm in Carmel, Indiana.
Survivors include her children, Pamela Sickels, Richard Kirk; grandchildren, Eric (Andrew) Sickels, Amy (Todd) Hughes; great grandchildren, Kaitlynn and Quinton McIntyre; brothers, David Mendenhall, Jeff (Jewel) Mendenhall; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harold E. Kirk; sisters, Norma Boggs, Patricia Kelly; and a brother, William Mendenhall.
Graveside services will be at 5:00 p.m. Monday, November 26, 2018 at Glen Cove Cemetery, Section 21, in Knightstown. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lion’s Club International.
