Betty June (Watt) Luttrell, 88, of New Castle passed away with family by her side, Thursday, January 10, 2019 after a brief illness. She was born July 18, 1930 with two brothers and two sisters anxiously awaiting her arrival; a daughter of the late Clyde C. and Viola (Stewart) Watt.
Betty attended Greensfork School. A faithful member of the South Side Church of the Nazarene, with her ministry of remembering the congregation with birthday cards, cards of encouragement along with visiting the shut-ins. She had a love for collecting salt and pepper shakers and making the most wonderful chocolate candies during the holidays. Betty enjoyed listening and remembering past services with her cassettes.
Betty was a homemaker, although she did work briefly outside the home. She was a loving, caring, giving mother, grandmother and wife who accomplished many unnoticed, behind the scene tasks. Her family was the joy of her life and she will be missed by each of them.
She is survived by daughters, Connie (Ronald) Agee of New Castle, Elaine (Rick) Messer of Golden, CO, Becky (Bob) Upchurch of New Castle; sons, Clyde (Patti) Luttrell of Oliver Springs, TN and Bryant Luttrell of New Castle; stepchildren, Noel Luttrell, Jr., Gayle White and Noelene Haynes; grandchildren, Nathan Agee, Lindsey Bise, Amanda Bise, Derek Luttrell, Alyssia Guthrie, Josh Messer, Seth Luttrell, Tonda Wicker and Jolene Powell; three great-grandchildren, brother, Marion (Charlene) Watt of Richmond.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded by her husband of 49 years, Noel Luttrell, Sr.; granddaughter, Brittany Luttrell; sisters, Alice Bowne and Mildred Wilson; brother, Howard Watt.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 14, 2019 at South Side Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Randy Tooley officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memory Gardens.
