Beverly Pennycuff

Beverly J. Pennycuff, age 67, of New Castle passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born November 22, 1953 in New Castle, Indiana to the late Edwin and Louiza (Van Berckelaer) Sloan.

She was a 1972 graduate of Walter P. Chrysler High School in New Castle. Beverly loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and attending their school events. She enjoyed cross stitching, cooking, and baking. Beverly also enjoyed working in the yard, traveling to Holland, Michigan and she loved her dogs.

She is survived by her three children: Kristy Asberry of Albany, KY, Mike Pennycuff and Melissa (James) Dammarell, both of New Castle; grandchildren: Brittany (Timothy) Pitts, Tiffany Dammarell, Bailey Guffey, Angel, Hope, Kami Dammarell, Kayla, Kyle and Lindsey Asberry; great-grandchildren: Walker and Jackson Pitts, Anelyn Cook, and Kaidyn Dammarell; brother: Edwin “Jules” (Rebecca) Sloan of New Castle; sister: Joanna Cory of New Castle; several nieces and nephew.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Pennycuff in 2019; sister, Lillian Bray in 2014; grandson, James “Mikey” Dammarell in 2015; nephew, Bryan Sloan in 2017; son-in-law, Randy Asberry in 2017; brother-in-law, Rick Cory 2017.

Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle, Indiana with Pastor Tyler Jackson officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, November 12, 2021 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery in New Castle.
