Brenda K. Brattain, 48, of Cambridge City passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at IU Health Ball Hospital. She was born July 26, 1972 in Henry County to Larry and Betty (Wallen) Clapp, Sr. of Mt. Summit.
She was a 1990 graduate of Blue River Valley High School. Brenda always was thinking of others before herself and loved caring for others, especially her parents and family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending car shows with her husband, Jason. Brenda was an animal lover and enjoyed music.
In addition to her parents, Brenda is survived by her husband, Jason Brattain of Cambridge City; her children, Corey (Courtney) Brattain of Glenwood and Cassidy (James) Brattain of New Castle; grandchildren, Kynslee and Kase Brattain; siblings, Larry (Stephanie) Clapp, Jr. of Muncie, Jerry (companion: Kelli Kline) Clapp of Cloverdale, Tammy (Terry) Lybarger of Hagerstown and Daryl (Dawn) Shannon of New Castle.
Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 1, 2021 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Burial will follow in Mt. Summit Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. prior to the service. Due to Covid-19 and the governor’s mandate, face coverings will be required.
