Brenda Davis

Brenda Davis, 69, of New Castle passed away unexpectedly Monday, July 12, 2021 at her residence. She was born September 8, 1951 in New Castle, Indiana, a daughter of the late Billie and Sarah (Keith) Lewis.

She was a graduate of Tri High School. Brenda was a homemaker her entire life, spending time taking care of her family, especially her son “Duke” for the past 17 years during his illness. She enjoyed traveling, especially visiting the ocean and mountains, during that time she collected shot glasses from various places they visited. Brenda had a passion for boating and playing BINGO. She was a former member of Greensboro Friends Church. She especially enjoyed watching Colombo, never missing a Sunday episode.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, whom she married December 17, 1977, Donald Wayne Davis; daughter, Sherry Davis Jordan; two nephews, Andy & Dennis Byers; cousin, Becca Fairchild; best friend, Lynn Buttz; along with many close church friends.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Donald “Duke” Davis; sister, Linda Byers; and son-in-law, Kyle Jordan.

Services will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Mark Herbkersman officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
