Dale Ryan Watkins

Dale Ryan Watkins, 59, of New Castle, Indiana passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at his residence. He was born September 19, 1962 in Detroit, Michigan, son of Arch Watkins Jr. of Greenfield and the late, Grace (Lucas) Watkins.

He was a 1981 Greenfield High School graduate and worked at Kiehin Manufacturing in Greenfield. Dale was a huge drag racing fan and loved cars of all makes and models. He was an avid collector of Hot Wheels and loved music. Dale was a loving husband, father and grandpa that will be deeply missed.

In addition to his father, Dale is survived by his wife of 10 years, Misty (Harding) Watkins of New Castle; children, Ashley (Josh) Davis of Carthage, Ryan (Christina) Watkins of Greenfield, Leandra (Creighton) Gann of Fishers and Zacari Dale Watkins of Walnut Creek, California; step children, Michael Fuller of Fishers, Amanda Fuller of Dallas, Texas and Cheyenne Rees of New Castle; grandchildren, Kyler, Jenna, Anastasia, Karter, Kyndall, Reagan, Elaina, Gwenyth and Elijah; and siblings, Doug Hill, Jennifer (Chris) McAtee and Tonya Hill.

Dale was preceded in death by his mother and grandson, Braden Westmoreland.

Per Dale’s request, there will be a private burial at Park Cemetery in Greenfield. Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects at a Celebration of Life held in his honor on Tuesday, August 16th from 4:00pm-7:00pm at First Baptist Church Family Life Center in New Castle. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
