Dean F. Hahn

August 30, 1936 — March 12, 2018

Dean F. Hahn, 81, of Knightstown passed away Monday, March 12, 2018 at Hancock Regional Hospital. He was born August 30, 1936 in Muncie to Lewis J. and Florence M. (Fallis) Hahn.

He graduated from Muncie Central in 1955 and 13 days after graduation enlisted in the Marines for four years. After graduating from Ball State in 1962, he went to work at Warner Gear in the purchasing department. Dean went on to spend the next forty-five years in purchasing with several major companies. He retired twice, once in his fifties and again in his seventies. His hobby was raising and showing quarter horses (especially Palominos). Dean was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association, the Palomino Horse Breeders Association and a past President of the Hoosier Palomino Association. Like most service men, he was also a member of the American Legion.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his brothers, Richard L. (Joey) Hahn and Robert G. (Janet) Hahn; several nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews and several great-great nieces and nephews.

Dean’s wishes were to be cremated and there will be no calling or services.
