Debra K. Evans-Barttrum

Debra K. Evans-Barttrum, 63, of New Castle, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at Heritage House. She was born March 3, 1954 in New Castle a daughter of Raymond Paul and Helen Lois (Wadman) Morris.
Debra was a 1972 graduate of Walter P. Chrysler High School and earned her Bachelors Degree. She was a lifelong resident of New Castle and a long time employee of First Merchant’s Bank. Debra loved her son, Brad, and enjoyed being with her family. She attended First Methodist Church and enjoyed gardening, dogs, camping and loved investing time in updating her house.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her son, Brad Evans of New Castle, a sister, Shelby Young of New Castle; nieces and nephews, Chelsea and Kobi Young.
She was preceded in death by grandparents, Gilbert and Bessie Wadman, and Edith Harth.
Services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Tom McGilliard officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery West Lawn Addition. Condolences and memories of Debra may be shared at www.hinsey-brown.com .
