Della Wilma Edwards Morgan Wooten, 85, of New Castle passed away Sunday, March 18, 2018 at IU Health Methodist Hospital. She was born January 14, 1933 in Monticello, Kentucky to the late Bill and Hattie (Hoover) Edwards.
Della retired from Brooks Foods in Mt. Summit following 31 years of service and was a member of South Side Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, yard work, flowers and gardening. She especially loved traveling to Tennessee and Kentucky and visiting with her family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Roger (Sally) Morgan of Cripple Creek, Colorado, Richard (Nancy) Morgan of Crossville, Tennessee, Greg (Stephanie) Morgan of Mooreland, and Carolyn Coffey of Middletown; grandchildren, Stephen (Christie) Coffey, Shane (Karen) Coffey, Heather (Jamie) House, Bruce Morgan, John David (Dawn) Morgan, Jeremy (Mallory) Morgan, Lauri Morgan (Doug Tyler), Eric (Jessica) Morgan, Samantha (Brady) Lightfoot, Taylor (Jake) Nicholson and Haley Morgan; 15 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; sisters, Joyce (Kenneth) Ellis of Ohio and Lucille Smith of Kentucky; sisters in law, Helen Edwards, Maxine Edwards; a special friend, Donna Burris; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Wendell W. Morgan; second husband, Gene Wooten; brothers, Ed Edwards, Wallace Edwards, Fred Edwards, J.B. Edwards; sisters, Verlie Asberry and Jean Smith; and a son in law, Wayne Coffey.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Buddy Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at South Mound Cemetery.
