Delphia D. Blevins, 95, a resident of New Castle passed away Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Glen Oaks Health Campus. She was born February 29, 1924 in Albany, Kentucky to the late David McKinley Buck and Floya Mae (Johnson) Buck.
A homemaker, Delphia was a member of the Grand Avenue Baptist Church in New Castle. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, quilting and cooking. She especially loved Sunday dinners with her family.
Survivors include five children: Donnie (Carol) Blevins of New Castle, Ronnie (Becky) Blevins of New Castle, Kathy (Thomas) Caig of Indian Trail, NC, Keith Blevins of New Castle and Debbie (Joe) Hannon of New Castle; grandchildren: Johnnie (Lori) Blevins, Scott (Karen) Blevins, Tracy Wilbur, Chad (Christy) Caig, April (Scott) Hinson, Dustin Blevins, Crystal Blevins, Heather (Justin) Stevens, Clint Hannon and Melissa (Mike Morris) Hannon; nineteen great grandchildren, one great-great grandson; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Oscar Blevins in 2005; two sons: Johnnie Blevins and Tim Blevins; a daughter: Pam Creason; two brothers and two sisters.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Saturday, prior to the funeral. You may express condolences or share a memory of Delphia at
