Dennis B. Carmichael

Dennis B. Carmichael, 68, of Knightstown passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born June 26, 1953 in Greenfield, the son of Bryan and Gladys (King) Carmichael.

Dennis had been a lifelong farmer in Henry and Hancock Counties. He was a member of the Central Indiana Tractor Pullers Association. He enjoyed tractor pulling, Western movies, hunting and was a Bigfoot enthusiast. Dennis was a Clint Eastwood fan, collected toy tractors and loved Massey and Oliver tractors and Ford trucks.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Joan (Robb) Carmichael whom he married August 16, 1971; three sons, Gabe (Heidi) Carmichael of Knightstown, Bryan Carmichael (Allison Brewer) of Carthage and Jim (Danielle) Carmichael of Knightstown; grandchildren, Emma, Mason, Landon, Ariana, Braxton, Brayden and Bryor; two sisters, Anita Dusang of Greenfield and Marsha (Paul) Veach of Shirley; sister-in-law, Eleonore Carmichael of Markleville; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dwight “Bud” Carmichael and brother-in-law, Raymond Dusang.

Services will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday, March 6, 2022 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel. Burial will be in Glen Cove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until time of service Sunday.
