Dianna L. Aurs

Dianna L. Aurs, 72, of Carthage, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at her residence. She was born June 21, 1946 in New Castle, a daughter of William Gross and Marilyn “June” (Carr) Duvall.

Dianna retired from Jefferson-Smurfit Paper Mill in Carthage in 2007 after 29 years of service. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Knightstown American Legion Post #152. She enjoyed cooking, baking, camping, fishing and especially loved taking care of her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Robin L. Aurs, Sr. of Carthage; children, Theresa Gorman-Howard (Tony Rust) of Carthage, Tina (Michael) Nix of Riverview, FL, Angela Gorman-Poore of Carthage, Melinda Guffey (Fred Soliven) of Indianapolis, James D. (Gina) Gorman, II of Knightstown, Robin L. (Meredith) Aurs, Jr. of Henderson, NV, Brandi Voiles of Shelbyville, Nancy (Matt) Porter of Muncie, Michelle (Jason) Rihm of Cambridge City, Angela M. Aurs (Jordan) of Greenfield, Karri Aurs of Greenfield, Matthew (Katie) Aurs of Carthage; 34 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; mother, Marilyn “June” (Carr) Duvall of New Castle; brother, Thomas Gross of Knightstown; sister, Liz (Robert) Simerly of New Castle; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Gross; son, Joshua Blaine Inman; granddaughter, Madison Rihm; step-father, Joe Duvall.

Services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until time of service. Condolences and memories of Dianna may be shared at www.hinsey-brown.com
