Dixie Brewer, 77, of Greenfield, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2022 at her residence. She was born May 26, 1944 the daughter of James and Betty (Franklin) Moreland. Dixie was a 1962 graduate of Greenfield High School and retired from the UPS in 1996 after 25 years of service. She had a strong faith and enjoyed eating out with her family and friends. Dixie is survived by a son, Robert “Doug” Hicks of Indianapolis; a daughter, Dawn Hicks of Mooresville; three grandchildren, Nichole Morgan, Ryan Morgan and Nathan Morgan all of Mooresville; great grandchildren, Jaiden Morgan and Jailei Collins; siblings, Mary Ann Rhinehardt of Greenfield, Jim Moreland of Carthage and Nancy (Larry) Shrout of Knightstown; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur “Art” Brewer. Visitation will be from 2-5 PM Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel.
