Donna Smith

Donna Smith, 56, of Spiceland passed away Friday, August 16, 2019 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born October 12, 1962 in Detroit, MI to the late Ralph Howell and Barbara Holliday.

Donna lived a life that was full of love and adventure. She loved to travel and visit new places. Donna especially loved the outdoors, the beach and ocean, camping, hunting, fishing, boating, horseback riding and being anywhere that her husband had a desire to go on a whim.

She loved her pet’s dogs, cats, birds, horses and her black bears. Donna spent countless hours loving, enjoying and caring for them.

Donna lived her life with a passion, honesty and a clinched fist that many could not emulate or understand but, you could never doubt her love.

Her health has been failing for many years but, she never gave up the desire or fight to live.

Donna touched the lives of so many. She will be missed but never forgotten.

She is survived by her husband, Alan Smith. Alan and Donna have been married for 29 years and together for 32 years.

She is also survived by 3 sisters, Kathy (Patrick) McCormick and her family, Katherine Silva; April Johnson, Tina Wale, Crystal Bouza and Craig McCormick; Barbara (Roger) Holmes and her family, Dantae Robinson and McKenzie Robinson-Holmes; Joyce Robinson Combs and her family, Josheph Robinson, Ramello Robinson, Shakyra Robinson-Combs, Judith Robinson-Combs, Saliayah Haduca and Daylilah Haduca; a brother, David (Kathy) Howell and his family, Michelle Corra and Natasha Howell; special great nieces and nephews, John Lang, Angel Silva, Reyna Silva and Matias Silva; and many great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents.
