Doris O. Leffingwell

Doris O. Leffingwell, 93, of New Castle passed away Friday morning, April 2, 2021 at Glen Oaks Health Campus in New Castle. She was born April 4, 1927 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Merrill and Lona (Howard) Cronk.
Doris retired from Henry County REMC. She married her husband, George Leffingwell on April 27, 1945, he passed away on December 8, 2009 after 64 years of marriage. Doris was an avid reader, reading all the books in the Glen Oaks Health Campus Library.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband George; brother, Bob Cronk and a sister, Barbara Huse.
The family would like to thank the loving staff at Glen Oaks for their excellent care of Doris.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 5, 2021 at Mooreland Cemetery with Pastor Mark Herbkersman officiating. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. You may express condolences or share a memory of Doris at www.hinsey-brown.com .
