Dorothy Kay Williamson

Dorothy Kay Williamson, 81, of Greenfield passed away Saturday January 22, 2022 in Shelbyville. She was born June 3, 1940 in Hancock County to the late Howard and Francis (Jones) Apple.
Dorothy was a 1958 graduate of Charlottesville High school and the Salutatorian of her class. On December 24, 1958 she married Arthur “Dave” Williamson together they owned Griffey’s Sporting Goods in Shelbyville for 12 years. They enjoyed getting out and driving the county side and sometimes would end up in the hills of Kentucky. Dorothy was 1986 IFAA female Champion in Bare Bow. She was a member of West Street Methodist Church in Shelbyville and involved in cub scouts. Dorothy loved to cook and reading her Bible.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Dave Williamson; children, Douglas (Shelly) Williamson and Diane Kay Hiatt; four grandsons; one great grandson and one great granddaughter.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Apple.
