E. Jane McCaslin, 86, of New Castle passed away Saturday morning, October 10, 2020 at Henry Community Health. She was born November 26, 1933 in Rush County, Indiana, a daughter of the late John and Carrie Mae (Gentry) Chesher.
Jane loved bowling, Bingo and most of all spending time with family. She was a member of Whittier Lane Baptist Church in New Castle.
Survivors include her children, Linda McCaslin of New Castle, Delmar, Jr. (Fiancé Sherrie) McCaslin of Pershing, Indiana, Mike (Laura) McCaslin of New Castle, Shelly (Johnny) Rillaerts of Ocklawaha, Florida, and Kelly (Evelyn) McCaslin of New Castle; thirteen grandchildren, Delmar Sigfrid (Melissa) Smith, Melissa (Tyson) Hethcox, Tammy Hebel, Roy (Marla) Fugate, Johnny (Summer) Fugate, Arron (Brandon) Sample, Kyle Palsgrove, Joshua Pauwels, Austin (Amber) Roberts, Denise Johnson (Friend, Drew) , Tiffany (Adam) Jones, Sidney Rillaerts, Samantha McCaslin, and Christopher (Norma) McCubbins, Michael Zielske; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; siblings, Velma Wood, Bobby Joe (Thelma) Chesher, Patty West; sisters-in-law, Joy Chesher and Kathy Chesher; and several nieces & nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Delmar G. McCaslin; great grandson, Nikolas Eugene Johnson, daughter-in-Law, Marlene McCaslin; siblings, Charles Chesher, Joan Reno, Ralph Chesher, David Chesher, Daisy Chesher and Mildred White, Jerry Chesher, and Donald Chesher.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 7, 2020 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Reverend Frank Wood, Jr and Reverend Ethan Hethcox officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
