Edna T. Gurley, 82, of Avon, formerly of Rush County, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Park Square Manor in Avon. She was born May 17, 1935 in Lexington, KY a daughter of Richard Clifford and Gertrude (Brown) Adams.
Edna was a 1953 graduate of Muncie Central High School. She worked at East Side Gas, Trap and Field and had been a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha. Edna enjoyed spending time with her family, playing poker and baking, and loved cats. She was a member of Connection Point Christian Church in Brownsburg.
She is survived by her husband, Ray Gurley of Avon; two daughters, Lisa (Tommy) Carr of Brownsburg and Beth Gurley of Avon; a son, Bruce Gurley of Brownsburg; three grandchildren, Ashley Carr, Alex Carr and Aaron (Christina) Gurley; two great grandsons, Liam and Cade; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step father, William Adams; and a sister, Pauline Dailey.
Services will be at 12:00 PM Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery.
