Eric Chandler Teague, 24, of Mooreland was welcomed home on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at I.U. Ball Memorial Hospital. He was born September 13, 1996 in Muncie, IN.
A 2015 graduate of Blue River Valley High School, Eric was a three-sport athlete, playing baseball, basketball and tennis. He also was in the Engineering program through the Career Center. He graduated from Ivy Tech Community College in 2019 with a degree in Criminal Justice, as he aspired to work in law enforcement. He was employed at Meijer as an Asset Protection Specialist where he was recognized many times as the market asset protection champion and the top performing team member in 2020 for the North Indianapolis market.
Eric enjoyed hunting, watching the Chicago Blackhawks and New York Yankees, spending time with friends and family, spending time outdoors, and enjoyed carpentry and engineering projects with his Uncle Alan. Eric was known for his infectious smile, his humor, his willingness to help anyone, and his incredible strength and courage. He was sunshine. He was a member of the South Christian Church in Mooreland.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his parents, Lori (Greg) Clone of Mooreland and Richard (Pam) Teague of Rockton, IL; brothers, Drew Teague (fiancé, Madison Medina), Bobby Clone, Timmy Clone, Christopher Teague; sister, Brooke Teague; uncle and aunt, Brad and Andrea Linville of Elburn, IL; cousins, Bryce, Brandon, and MacKenzie; aunt, Brenda Cole, cousins, Jeremy (Amanda Brake) Hedges, cousins, Sydney, Quentin and Kaleb, Josh (Emily) Hedges; aunt, Robin Teague, cousins, Jenni and Jake; uncle and aunt, Doug and Debbie Teague, cousin, Kaitlyn (David) Lewis, Chelsie (Robbie) Watson, Kyle Teague; special great-aunt and uncle, Alan and Pam Cross of Mooreland, uncle and aunt, Jon and Marcy Clone of Fishers; cousins, Abigail and Tory; maternal grandmother, Betty Linville of Mooreland, and paternal grandparents, Terry and Jill Clone of Noblesville.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Donald Linville and paternal grandparents, Charles and Carol Teague.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 6, 2021 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Adam Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in Mooreland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m., Sunday, September 5, 2021 at the funeral home.
