Eva Veo Speck, 95, a resident of New Castle passed away Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Glen Oaks Health Campus. She was born July 5, 1925 in Huntersville, Kentucky to the late Robert and Bertha (Pemberton) Little.
Eva had been employed at Sears and Hills Department Stores in New Castle. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and AARP. Eva enjoyed reading, cooking, flowers and gardening, especially her tomato plants. The love of her life was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include a son: Dan (Carol) Speck of New Castle; a daughter: Carol (Tom) Cloud of Indianapolis; two grandchildren: Robin (Matt) White of Greenfield and David (Jenny) Cloud of Fishers; three great-grandchildren: Alyssa and Parker White and Grant Cloud; a niece: Virginia (Ralph) Walcott of Laurinburg, North Carolina; a nephew: Tommy (Elaine) Wood of Albany, Kentucky.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Bennett Speck and three sisters: Fronnie Wood, Alva Garrett and Vera Little.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Ray Boiles officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, prior to the service.
