Evelyn L. Gregory

Evelyn L. Gregory, 93, of New Castle passed away Monday, May 25, 2020 at Stonebrooke Rehabilitation Center. She was born July 17, 1926 in Fountain County, Indiana to the late Luther and Freda (Cooper) Smith.

Evelyn worked at Val, Grants and Kresge’s Department Stores and for a short time at Chrysler Corp. during WWII. She was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church for many years.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Kay (Robert E.) Snedegar of Bloomington; daughter in law, Tammy Garner of Lewisville; grandchildren, Michael Shane (Lori) Gregory of New Castle, Robert O. Snedegar of Bloomington; great grandchildren, Trenton Michael Gregory and Sydney Gregory of New Castle; brother, John (Jody) Younts of Cambridge City and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Lloyd H. Gregory, infant daughter, Pammy Gregory; son, Michael Gregory; grandson, Derek Gregory; brother, Russell Smith and a sister, Marie Smith.
