Evelyn Joy "Joyce" Kidd

Evelyn Joy “Joyce” Kidd, 80, a resident of New Castle passed away Friday, December 4, 2020 at AMG Specialty Hospital in Greenfield. She was born April 27, 1940 in Murl, Kentucky to the late Johnnie William and Iva Elsie (Matthews) Denney.

Joyce retired from Henry County Memorial Hospital in 1997 after over 40 years of service. She was a member of the North 14th Street Church of Christ and loved watching her grandchildren play sports. Joyce enjoyed cooking, working in the yard and traveling to Gatlinburg. She had previously bowled on the hospital bowling team.

Survivors include her husband of 25 years: Clifford Kidd, whom she married October 21, 1995; three children: Kim (Brian) Clemons of Decatur, IN, Lisa (Terry) Bevans and Allen (Tracy) Johnson, both of New Castle; nine grandchildren: Brian Allen (Stephanie) Clemons, Kenny (Samantha) Clemons, Jason Bevans, Eric (Christy) Bevans, Kalie (Kyle) Ellis, Josh (Sierra) Johnson, Janell (Michael) Lephew, Justin (Kortany) Johnson and Brandon Trieshman; several great-grandchildren; a sister: Violet (Gerald) Kissick; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter: Debbie Trieschman; brother: Otis Denney; great-granddaughter: Paige Lynn Clemons and her in-laws: Rev. Jimmie and Aline Kidd.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 9, 2020 with Bob Caudill officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 - 7 p.m. Tuesday, December 8th at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Due to Covid-19 and the governor’s mandate, face coverings will be required.
