Evelyn "Webby" Luellen

November 2, 1943 — August 6, 2021

Evelyn “Webby” Luellen, 77, of Wilkinson passed away Friday August 6, 2021 at Community North Heart Hospital. She was born November 2, 1943 in New Castle a daughter of the late Herschell and Bernice (Snider) Hammond.

Evelyn was a proud 1962 graduate of Cadiz High School. She was retired from Metals Technology in Shirley following over 20 years of service. Evelyn was an officer for UAW Local # 2140 where she served several terms as president and secretary/treasurer. Following retirement she was employed by Capello Hair Design as a receptionist and most recently, Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service where Evelyn served as a family assistant. Evelyn was a member of the Wilkinson Church of Christ and the Sigma Beta Kappa Sorority. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren; they meant everything to Evelyn and provided her happiest days. She also loved her pink flowers around her house as they not only brought joy to her but the neighbors. The one thing Evelyn maybe enjoyed most besides her family, was shopping especially at Macy’s. She loved to shop there so much that she had made friends with the staff in the shoe department. And its possible Macy’s might have to lay off some employees given her future absence. Evelyn took pride in her appearance and always wanted to look her best; many will remember her as always dressed “To the nines”.

Evelyn is survived by her son, Tracy Badgley of Knightstown (significant other, Markita Weaver of Shelbyville); daughter, Tammy (Paul) Adkins of Knightstown; step daughters, Natalie Hill of Charleston, SC and Pam (Chuck) Jackson of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Tori (Jaren) Brown, Karli (Ashley) Badgley, Sarah (Emily) Hollinberger, Julie (Brian) Hoffman, Michael Silvers, Erin (Cody) Freeman, Elizabeth (Anthony) Miller, Clinton Tooley and Katie Hill; great grandchildren, Londyn Brown, Braxton Fesler, Kenedi Brown, Hadli Brown, Ari Hollinberger, Xzavier Summers, Orion Hoffman, Isaiah Freeman, Isabelle Freeman, Adisyn Freeman Skyler Freeman and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Luellen; stepdaughter, Gayle Luellen; sisters, Beverly Luellen and Sondra Brunson; niece, Paula Garcia; nephew, Jeff Ellison.

Services will be held at 10:00am Friday August 13, 2021 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel with Rev. Ryan McCarty officiating. Burial will follow in McCray Cemetery.
