Frankie D. Phelps, 70, of Greenfield, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at Hancock Regional Hospital. He was born June 25, 1950 in Franklin, Indiana to the late Vertis and Gertie (Burchett) Phelps.
Frank loved to go fishing, camping and having campfires. Most of all, he loved being with his family and his beloved dog, Sadie. He worked at Tom Wood Toyota, Smith Implements in Greenfield and loved tinkering with lawn mowers around his garage. Frank was a jokester and loved to make people smile and laugh. He also enjoyed working on and collecting clocks.
He is survived by his wife Patti Phelps of Greenfield; children, Scott (Charlene) Phelps, Jason Phelps, Jeremy Callahan, Melissa Phelps, Cathy (Jeff) Gaddis, and Julie Phelps-Murray; grandchildren, Michael, Blake, Hunter, Austin, Lilly, Kelsie, Alice and Robbie; siblings, Barb (Ronnie) Roberts, Faye (Joe) Lane, Joyce Roy, Jimmy Phelps; special son-in-law, Rob Murray; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Wendall Phelps, Huger Phelps, Hubert Phelps; sisters, Marie Mullins and Helen Mitchell.
