Freddy "Pete" R Cox

July 31, 1956 - April 19, 2022

Freddy "Pete" R. Cox, 65, of New Castle passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at Heritage House. He was born July 31, 1956 in Pulaski County, Kentucky to the late Phillip Parker and Mary Ann (Stevens) Cox. Freddy worked as a logger in Kentucky for many years as well as Neal’s Scrap Yard and Cox’s Salvage with his brother for many years. He enjoyed spending time with and playing with his great nieces and nephews. He is survived by a brother, William Allen “Bill” Cox; a sister, Phyllis Ann Jones; nephew, Charles “Chuck” (Stacey) Cox and several other nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Brenda (Conner) Cox; brothers, Delbert “Duck” Cox, Charlie Parker Cox; sisters, Ella May Cox, Florence Elizabeth “Libby” Latham and Hazel Stout. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 28, 2022 at South Mound Cemetery-West Lawn Addition. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle.
