Glen Roland Raney

Glen Roland Raney, 95, a resident of New Castle passed away Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Addison Place Assisted Living in New Castle. He was born September 19, 1926 in Tipton County to the late Floyd and Edna (Busching) Raney.
A 1944 graduate of Forest High School, he graduated from Frankfort Bible College in 1950. Glen was a minister with the Wesleyan Church, pastoring in Burlington, Andrews, New Castle and Elwood, Indiana. He also served as treasurer for the Central Indiana Wesleyan Camp, administrator of Pastoral Life Insurance and was a member of the District Advisory Board. Glen enjoyed woodworking, camping and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include two daughters: Nancy (Fred) Hamlin and Karen (Michael) Lynch; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife: Margaret (Johnson) Raney, second wife: Dolores “Emaline” Raney; four brothers and three sisters.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Chaplain Mark Schlechty officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Southern Care Hospice, 3415 West Fox Ridge Lane, Muncie, IN 47304.
