Harold L. Wright, 91, of Knightstown passed away Thursday, May 5, 2022 at IU Ball Memorial Hospital. He was born January 12, 1931 in Knoxville, TN to the late Stan and Lillian (Hall) Wright.
Harold served his country in the United States Army. He was a 1949 graduate of Charlottesville High School. Harold retired from Delco Remy after 37 years of service. He was a member of the Knightstown American legion, loved cars and visiting with his neighbors.
He is survived by his children, Doug (Cheryl) Wright of Carthage, James Wright of Shirley, Bev Wright of St. Petersburg, FL and Marc Wright of Greenfield; grand children, Daniel (Kara) Wright, Lucus (Abi) Wright, Jake Wright, Amber Wright and Ben (Ashlee) Wright; great grandchildren, Caleb, Noah, Charlie, Declan, Avery, Lucy, Rosie and Hailey; sister, Dorothy Bocock; along with several nieces, nephews and many neighbors and friends.
In addition to his parents, Harold is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Wright; brother, Thomas Wright and sister, Mary Ruth Dashiell.
Services will be Monday May 9, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Roby Wood officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Cove cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until time of service.
