Holly Lynn Byrd

Holly Lynn Byrd, 65, a resident of New Castle passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born January 21, 1956 in New Castle to the late General Isaac and Barbara (Binford) Catron.

A devoted homemaker, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids and great-grandson. Holly was very musically inclined and could play nearly any instrument. She lived a simple but wonderful life and always enjoyed being with family and friends. Above all, Holly had a deep love for her Lord, Jesus Christ and loved sharing Him with others.

Survivors include her husband of 29 years: Robert Byrd; two daughters: Sabrina Gill of Connersville and Krystal Bivens (Keith Shaw) of New Castle; eight grandchildren: Kylie (Sam) Thompson, Adam Bivens, Kiara Swain, Gracelynn, Emma, Daniel and Elizabeth Shaw and Ian Gill; a great-grandson: Grayson Thompson; two sisters: Gretchen Catron and Elaine Dobbs, both of New Castle; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Tim and Nathan Catron; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Robert and Nancy Byrd; and a brother-in-law: Gregory Vosberg.

Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Mark Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memory Gardens.
