Jack D. Cupp Sr.

July 18, 1948 — February 13, 2019

Jack D. Cupp, Sr., 70, of New Castle passed away peacefully at home Wednesday, February 13, 2019. He was born July 18, 1948 in New Castle to the late Loren and Betty (Spencer) Cupp.

He retired from Chrysler Corp. in 2002 after 36 years of service. Jack was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He played bass guitar with the “Chosen Few” band in New Castle. Jack enjoyed sports cars, working in the yard, playing and listening to music. He was a loving husband, father, brother & friend.

He is survived by his wife, Tina (Blaydes) Cupp whom he married October 10, 2010; 5 children, Matt (Carla) Cupp of Noblesville, Trevor Cupp of Greenfield, Travas (Amy) Cupp of New Castle and Stephanie (Jason) Perdue of New Castle, Jasper Cupp ; 2 step-children, Tiffany (Kevin) Bako of Martinsburg, WV and Robert Marion Saul, Jr. of New Castle; 18 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, sister, Teresa “TT” Cruz of Indianapolis; brother, Alan “Mel” (Lisa) Cupp of Greenfield; 3 half siblings, Randall (Marty) Cupp, Jeffery (Mary Jo) Cupp and Lisa (Shawn) Krebs all of Martinsville; best friends and in-laws, Charles and Sandy Blaydes of Foley, AL; his beloved fur baby, Bailey Douglas Cupp; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a wife, Jewell Cupp.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Henry County Humane Society, 11 Midway Dr., New Castle, IN 47362.
