James Claspell, 74, New Castle passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at his residence. He was born November 29, 1946 In Los Angeles, California, a son of the late James Lewis and Margaret (Anderson) Claspell.
He retired from ABB in 2008 after 40 years of service. He was an avid NASCAR fan, loved racquet ball, and reading. James most of all loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife or 32 years, Cindee Claspell; children, Shannon Kerr of Platte City, MO, Brenda Smith of Springport, Brad Dalton of Indianapolis, Jeremy Dalton, of New Castle and Brooklyn Dalton Claspell of New Castle; grandchildren, Erin Siewert, Chris Dalton, Sage Dalton, Skylar Kerr and Lillian Blankenbaker; siblings, David (Pat) Claspell of Fortmill, SC, Juanita (Steven) Peterson of Eagle, ID and Patricia (Dwight) Kakazu of Layton, UT.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
At the request of the family there will be no services at this time. Funeral services have been entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle.
