James "Jim" H. Whitesitt

James “Jim” H. Whitesitt, 63, of Wilkinson, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Greenfield Healthcare Center. He was born December 28, 1956 in Henry County the son of George and Martha Whitesitt.

Jim was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served as a Cavalry Scout with honors. He retired from Harvest Land Co-op in 2017 after 25 years of service. He attended Center Christian Church. Jim loved truck racing, being outdoors, and working on cars and trucks. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. Jim also enjoyed teaching his children to work on vehicles.

He is survived by a daughter, Michelle Whitesitt of Cincinnati, OH; two step-children, Leslie Bailey of Bloomington and Steve (Chris) Lowder of Phoenix. AZ; five grandchildren, Johnny Rain, Ian Bailey, Courtney Griffin, Jonathan Kelley and Hannah Steele; two great grandchildren, Jude and Willow Griffin; a sister, Joyce (John) Sinisco of Mays; a brother, Joe (Debbie) Whitesitt of Knightstown; nieces and nephews, Heather, Kathy and Bart, Johnny, Margaret and Annie; several great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judith K. Whitesitt, and daughter, Leanna Steele.

Private services will be at the convenience of the family. Military rites will be conducted by the Knightstown American Legion Post #152 in Glen Cove Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel.
