James Michael Parker Jr.

James Michael Parker Jr., 29, of Shirley passed away Sunday, June 16, 2019 following injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born July 7, 1989 in Akron, Ohio to Leslie (Piskac) Keylor.

Michael was a 2008 graduate of Shenandoah High School in Noble County, Ohio. He was currently employed by Draper in Spiceland. Michael loved his cat, Opie.

Mr. Michael, as he was affectionately called, loved to be goofy, was quick to smile and thought of others before himself. He enjoyed science fiction, going to the movies and playing Halo and other video games where he was able to foster friendships that have lasted more than a decade. Michael will be known for his kindness, his love for his family, friends and animals, and for the bravery that comes from tackling self improvement. He was greatly loved and will be forever in our hearts.

He is survived by his mother, Leslie (John) Keylor of Shirley; siblings, Kristina (Brian) Robinson of Miamisburg, OH, Angela (Richard) Helms of New Castle, Amanda (Corey) Voorhies of Cambridge, OH. Lucas Keylor of Beavercreek, OH, Zachary Keylor of Cambridge, OH; grandmother, Margaret Parker of Akron, OH; nieces and nephews, Braydenn, Colin, Bayne, Remi, Braylenn and Gage.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Samantha Michelle Parker; grandfather, Calvin Parker; grandmother, AnnaBelle Keylor.

Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel. Visitation will be from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. You may express condolences or share a memory of Michael at www.hinsey-brown.com .
