Janet G. (Wager) Johnson, 84, of Knightstown, passed away Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Hancock Regional Hospital. She was born August 23, 1934 in Rush County, a daughter of Jack and Mary Louise “Peggy” (Gross) Wager.
Janet was a 1952 graduate of Mays High School where she was a cheerleader. She retired from RCA. She was a member of the Knightstown Christian Church and was past Regent of the Knightstown Daughters of the American Revolution. Janet enjoyed genealogy, quilting, sewing and reading.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Robert G. Johnson of Knightstown; children, Ellen Long of Knightstown, Theresa (Walt) Miller of Leesburg, FL, Dale (Vicki) Johnson of Boynton Beach, FL, Andy (Lori) Johnson of Dunreith; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; siblings, Karen Sue (Donald E.) Moore of Knightstown and Diana (Gary) Ross of Rush County; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, John Keith Wager and Marlin Lee Wager.
Visitation will be from 3-6 PM Sunday, October 21, 2018 at Knightstown Christian Church. Services will be at 11:00 AM Monday at the church with Richard Thayer and Anthony Darling officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Knightstown Daughters of the American Revolution.
