Jasper M. Penticuff, 94 , of New Castle went to his heavenly home Friday, December 7, 2018 at Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital. He was born October 30, 1924 in Clinton County, Kentucky to the late Mack Mellon and Ellen (Catron) Penticuff.
He was a member of the Southside Church of the Nazarene in New Castle. Jasper farmed for many years, and retired from Delco Remy in Anderson following 44.1 years of service. He loved to sit in his swing and whittle. He also liked to fish. His beloved pet dog, Allie was always at his side. He was married for 50 years to the late Velma Lee Wallen Penticuff.
He is survived by his four daughters, Barbara (Ralph) Ooten of Mooreland, Patricia (James) Sarks of Ball Ground, Georgia, Norma (Kipp) Huth of Springport, and Lisa (Keith) Gard of Ridge, Maryland; grandchildren,Scott (Lynn) Ooten of Mooreland, Michelle (Jerry) Williams, Ryan (Carrie) Sarks, all of Ball Ground, GA, Adam (Jamie) Dabney of New Castle, Breanna Dabney (companion, Camron Massengale) of Middletown, Lauren (Andrew) Davis of Callaway, MD, Jared (Jenni) Gard of Ridge, MD; three step grandchildren, Adam Huth of Muncie, Aaron Huth of Joliet, IL, Austin Huth (Melinda Moore) of Portland; twelve great grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Ashley Ooten of Mooreland, Christopher and Nicholas Williams, Will and Henry Sarks, all of Ball Ground, GA, Jaycob Dabney of New Castle, Owen, Hailie and Noah Davis, all of Callaway, MD, Kellen and Ethan Gard of Ridge,MD; two step-great grandsons, Wesley Huth of Middletown and Oakley Huth of Portland; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Velma Lee Penticuff; two brothers, Woodrow and James O. Penticuff; a sister, Eva Guthrie.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Reverends Gene Bennett and David Humble officiating. Burial will follow at Mooreland Cemetery. Friends may call from 12:00 noon until time of services Wednesday at the funeral home.
