Jeanette F. McIntosh, 90, of New Castle passed away Thursday, October 24, 2019 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born January 8, 1929 in Flemingsburg, KY to the late George and Jessie (Gulley) Thacker.
Jeanette had worked as a waitress at G2 Café in Knightstown. She is a member of the Cross Roads Church of God and previously attended Church of the Nazarene in Knightstown where she was the young people’s missionary, president and Sunday school secretary/treasurer. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Jeanette also enjoyed working in the yard, attending auctions and collecting Precious Moments figurines.
She is survived by two sons, Ronald (Cheryl) McIntosh of New Castle and Joseph (Lynette) McIntosh of Knightstown; a step-son, Jackie (Carol) McIntosh of KY; 8 grandchildren, 22 great- grandchildren and one great great-grandchild; two sisters, Thelma (Jockey) Fraley of Franklin, OH and Helen Allen of Flemingsburg, KY; a brother, Rev. Raymond (Betty) Thacker of New Richmond, OH; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, Donald McIntosh and three brothers, Kenneth Thacker, Raymond Thacker and Tommy Rigdon.
Services will be at 10:00am Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Rev. Danny Douglas officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery.
