Jerry Dean Cross

Jerry Dean Cross, 87, of New Castle passed away Friday, April 30, 2021 at Stonebrooke Rehabilitation Center in New Castle. He was born April 28, 1934, a son of the late John Fletcher and Ethel (Kuhn) Cross.

He was a graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School. Jerry was a member of Buck Creek Church of the Brethren. He dearly loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include a son, John (Sharlene) Cross of Independence, Kentucky; grandchildren, Jordan (Beth) Cross, Sarah Cross, Stacey (Alex) Featherstone, Jeremy Cross and Mary Cross; great grandchildren, Xander Featherstone, Liam Featherstone, Chloe Cross and Wyatt Featherstone; brother, Gary (Evelina) Cross; sisters, Judy (Bill) Brown and Kathy (Frank) Purnell; and several nieces & nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Sue Cross.

The family would like to thank everyone that assisted in taking care of Jerry after his return to Indiana. Even though our homes were separated by miles, it was a great comfort knowing all of you were looking out and helping him. Thank you, John, Sharlene & Family

Services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery near Losantville. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of services Thursday. Memorial contributions may be given to Stonebrooke Rehabilitation Center, 990 North 16th Street, New Castle, IN 47362.
