John Evan Dalton

John Evan Dalton, 35, of Indianapolis passed away Monday, June 13, 2022 in Indianapolis. He was born January 15, 1987 in New Castle, Indiana, a son of Robert Steven Dalton and Estelinia Ann (McClung) Byers.

John was a 2006 graduate of Chrysler High School where he played baseball and football. He was employed as a Certified Pipe Welder and owned & operated Frontline Restoration, Inc. in Indianapolis. John enjoyed drawing and was self-taught in many areas of his life.

John was a father of two children: Asa Evan Dalton and Avery Elizabeth Dalton, along with Avery’s mother, Libby Calkins, who also played a vital role in Asa’ s life as well; his parents, Estelinia “Ann” Byers of Indianapolis and Steve Dalton of New Castle; brothers, David J. McClung of Indianapolis and Christopher J. Girard of Louisiana; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends.

John was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Steve Dalton, Jr.; paternal grandparents, Asa Evan Dalton & Thelma Joyce Dalton; and the mother of his son, Tasha Holman.

A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, June 17, 2022 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Jim Becker officiating.
