Joseph A. Milliner, 86, of New Castle passed away Sunday, January 20, 2019 approximately one year after his wife Betty R. Milliner. He was born October 26, 1932 in Muncie the son of Joseph H. and Daisey (Reeser) Milliner.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving in Korea. He attended college in Chicago and was a retired engineer from Ball Corporation, Muncie, IN. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in New Castle, Breakfast Optimists and coach for Babe Ruth Baseball league among his many attributes. He will be greatly missed by his children, grandchildren and the community.
He leaves to cherish his memory his oldest daughter, Tamara (Milliner) Farenga, his only son, Greg A. Milliner of Kokomo and his sons, Mitchell Joseph Milliner of Muncie and John Kyle Milliner of Kokomo; youngest daughter, Kristie Milliner of New Castle, and her son, Brandon Bengo of Hagerstown.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty R. Milliner; brothers, Edward H. and Jack I. Milliner.
Services will be at 1:00 PM Friday, January 25, 2019 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Tom McGilliard officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the U.S. Air Force and the American Legion/VFW. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery West Lawn Addition.
