Josephine Elaine Kellam

Josephine Elaine (Adams) Kellam, 97, of New Castle passed away peacefully on October 9, 2021 at Glen Oaks Health Campus, in New Castle, IN. She was born on July 12, 1924 to the late Charles and Hazel Adams.

Josephine grew up in Mays, IN. She was a graduate of Mays High School, where she was a cheerleader and very active in school activities. Over the years, she worked at Big Brother Big Sisters and the Bureau of Motor Vehicles. She was a nanny for 10 years and loved those boys like they were her own. She left being a nanny to take care of her granddaughter. The Kellams lived for several years in Spiceland, IN where they had many good neighbors and friends. Josephine loved animals, especially her beloved dog Patches.

Josephine is survived by two children, son, Mark B. Kellam (Jeffrey Waack) of West Hollywood, CA, and a daughter, Marie D. Kellam-White (Marty White) of New Castle, IN. She is also survived by a granddaughter, Madyson Cook of New Castle, IN, and two step-granddaughters, Macy and Ali White of New Castle, IN.
