Joyce Glazier

Joyce Glazier, 97, of New Castle, Indiana passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, May 16, 2020. She was born in Wayne County, Kentucky to Bill and Ethel Anderson.

Joyce worked for many years at New Castle Truckstop, where she met her husband, George. She never had any children but if you asked, she would tell you she had 4; her niece, Ethel Herran and 3 nephews, Billy Anderson, Doug Anderson and Marshall (Tonya) Anderson. Her greatest pleasure in life was her family. She was known to as all Aunt Joyce and will be forever missed.

She will be remembered with much love by her family and friends, her beloved sister-in-law, Eva Anderson, who was more like a sister and with whom she lived with, nieces, Darline (Duane) Caldwell, Charline Luster, Patsy (Jim) Cranes; nephews, Charles (Jeanne) Luster, David (Terri) Green, Don (Joyce) McWhorter; great nephews, Joshua (Amy) Herran, Michael (Lily) Anderson, Billy Anderson, Rocky Anderson and Dillon Anderson, great nieces, Lauren (Josh) Carlson, Heather (Christopher) Jones, Carrie Sizemore and great great nephews, Gavin Anderson, Gabriel Sizemore and one due in November. She had a very special friend that helped with her care and overall friendship, Patty Stoffer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George Glazier, sisters, Ruby Mcwhorter, Ethel Luster, Pauline Green, brother, Bill Anderson and nephew, Doug Anderson.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 21, 2020 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Services will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Burial will follow at South Mound Cemetery. Please be prepared to wait as we are limited to 25 guests at a time for the visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
