Kenneth "Duane" Murphy

Kenneth “Duane” Murphy, 60, of New Castle passed away Monday, June 3, 2019. He was born December 23, 1958 in New Castle to the late Carl and Betty (Brown) Murphy.
Duane loved football and the San Francisco 49ers; he enjoyed outdoor activities, bass fishing and especially spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by his son, Brandon (Candace Kreischer) Murphy of Muncie; grandchildren, Benjamin, Jayden and Lucinda Murphy; siblings, John (Kim) Cole and Danny Murphy both of New Castle; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Steve Cole and Gene Murphy.
A memorial service will be at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Visitation will be from 2 – 3 p.m. prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Kenneth “Duane” Murphy memorial fund, c/o Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, 3406 S. Memorial Dr., New Castle, IN 47362.
