Kimberly G. Gibson, 58, of New Castle, IN, went to be with the Lord on October 27, 2020 at her home comforted by family and friends after a brief illness.
She was born in New Castle, IN, on August 18, 1962, daughter of the late Logan “Bud” Frost and Janet Robinson. She is also survived by her husband, David Gibson; two sons, Jordan (wife Susan) and Kyle (wife Cindy) Gibson; four grandchildren, Liam, Logan, Elliott, and Adalynn; three brothers, Jeff, Jay (wife Diane), and Sam (wife Kim); numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Kim graduated from New Castle Chrysler High School in 1980 and married the love of her life on June 6th, 1981. She became an active participant and employee for the New Castle school system where she held various administrative roles. She was passionate about cheerleading and enjoyed coaching varsity cheerleading for the high school for several years. After retiring from the school system, she started a local business, Paint Party Parlor, where she spent her final years teaching and spreading her lifelong love of arts and crafts to the community. She enjoyed going on cruises and trips to the beach which she called her happy place. She never missed an opportunity for adventure and encouraged everyone to follow their dreams, just as she did. Above all, She enjoyed every moment spent with family and friends; especially her sons, daughter-in-laws, and the lights of her life, her grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 30, 2020 at First Baptist Church, 709 S. Memorial Drive New Castle. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 31 also at the church. Burial will follow at South Mound Cemetery-West Lawn Addition. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. You may express condolences or share a memory of Kim at www.hinsey-brown.com .
