Kimberly "Kim" J. Custer

December 5, 1967 - July 22, 2021

Kimberly “Kim” J. Custer, 53 of Anderson and formerly of New Castle passed away Thursday, July 22, 2021 in Greenfield following a battle with breast cancer. She was born December 5, 1967, a daughter of the late Roscoe T. Slavey and Brenda (Daffron) Lawson. A 1986 graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School, she was a member of Fall Creek Christian Church. She was employed at Mentor, where she loved each and every one of her group home guys. Kim’s family was her greatest enjoyment and she loved spending time with them. Survivors include her husband, David Custer, whom she married January 25, 1992; three children, Devon, Kaitlyn & Drake Custer; brothers, Brian (Gina) Slavey of New Castle and Jason Slavey of Wisconsin; several aunts, cousins, nieces & nephews. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 26, 2021 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Tom Wiles officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Summit Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the Susan G.
