Knox Dabney Decker

Knox Dabney Decker, 7-day old infant son of Ryan Decker and Taylor Buck, became an Angel in Heaven on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, where he was born on January 23, 2020.

Although this sweet baby didn’t get to stay with us for long, he left a large imprint on so many hearts before he gained his angel wings. An exemplar of true strength, Baby Knox began proving that he was such a fighter before he was even born. Proof was evident just by watching his mommy’s belly or feeling him kick like crazy. Knox continued proving this from the second that he was born. In the brief seven days that he got to spend here on earth, Knox loved hearing his mommy and daddy’s voices, holding their fingers as they told him all about his family and how incredibly loved he was by so many people. Precious Knox especially loved when his daddy got to swab his mouth with his mommy’s milk and when his mommy would sit and hold his head in her hand and just rub his head with her fingers as she told him how beautiful he was and how blessed that she and his daddy will forever be to call him their baby. Knox gained his angel wings and flew home to be with Jesus while in his mommy and daddy’s arms, knowing how much he is loved and that he is and will always be their beautiful baby boy.

In addition to his parents, Ryan and Taylor, he leaves maternal grandparents, Shelley Dabney Buck of Apopka, Florida and Aaron Buck of Owensboro, Kentucky; paternal grandparents, Albert & Rachel Decker of Trafalgar, Indiana; maternal great grandparents, John & Sharon Dabney of Monticello, Kentucky and Frank & Tammy Buck of Bagdad, Florida; paternal great grandparents, Carey & Debbie Herring of Indianapolis, Albert & Patty Decker of Indianapolis and Diana Decker of Indianapolis; paternal great-great grandmothers, Eva Pike of Indianapolis and Emma Decker also of Indianapolis; aunts & uncles, Josh (Meghan) Buck of New Lenox, Illinois, Tristan Buck of Owensboro, Kentucky and Nathan Decker of Trafalgar, Indiana, and his only first cousin, Keira Buck; in addition to several great aunts, uncles and great-great aunts & uncles. Baby Knox was preceded in death by his maternal great grandmother Kathryn Buck.
