Margaret L. Gibson, 73, of New Castle went to be with the Lord Thursday, September 7, 2017 following a brief illness. She was born February 2, 1944 in New Castle to the late Rev. E. Welby and Mamie Stella (Ballenger) Brown.
She worked in the deli at Marsh for nearly 30 years. Margie is known for her great sense of humor and loved to play pranks on everyone. She also loved spending time with her family, especially her great grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Tammy (Stacey) Guffey of New Castle, Melissa Gibson of Greenfield; grandchildren, Sarah Reece, Tyler Guffey, Katie (Tyler) Hicks, Tia Reece, Sean (Shelbi) Reece all of New Castle; great grandchildren, Jace and Baylie Reece, Jackson Mieth; siblings, Delores Holmes, Theda (Lyman) Hall, Vivian (Rev. Bob) Boyd, Fay (Rev. Jerry) Stoner and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a grandchild, Kienan Showalter; siblings, Bertha Mae Brown, Doris Jean Brown, Jack Brown, Larry David Brown and James Paul “Jig” Brown.
Services will be privately held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be at South Mound Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. You may express condolences or share a memory of Margie at www.hinsey-brown.com .
