Marge Robbins

Marge Robbins, 83, of New Castle passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at Henry Community Health. She was born January 13, 1939 in New Castle, Indiana, a daughter of the late Earl and Marie (Gordon) Kendall.

Marge graduated from New Castle High School in 1957 where she enjoyed choir. During the 1960’s, she worked as a legal secretary in New Castle and Winchester. She joined Rural Youth where she met and married her husband, Merl Robbins. After her son graduated from high school, she worked for the Henry County Trustee and Auditor. She was an avid bowler in the New Castle Homemakers League for more than 30 years. She also enjoyed visiting casinos, playing bingo and Euchre. Marge attended New Liberty Congregational Christian Church in Lynn, for more than 50 years.

Marge is survived by her husband, Merl, whom she married September 21, 1968; a son, Keith of New Castle; four brothers, Norm Kendall of Glendale, Arizona, Mel (Susan) Kendall of Anderson, Bud (Pat) Kendall of Middletown and Gerald Kendall of New Castle; a sister, Retha (Mike) Shrout of Greenfield; sisters-in-law, Sarah Saxman of New Haven, Anne Fraze of Winchester and Janie Robbins of Muncie and several nieces, nephews & cousins.

In addition to her parents, Marge was preceded in death by an infant brother, Charles.

Services will be 11:00am Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Burial will follow at South Mound Cemetery-West Lawn Addition. Visitation will be from 4:00pm-7:00pm Monday at the funeral home.
