Marilyn Jean Heim

Marilyn Jean Heim, 80, of Knightstown, passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2021. She was born July 23, 1940 in Henry County, the daughter of Fred Leslie and Elma (Stites) Warner.

Marilyn was raised on a farm and graduated from Knightstown High School. She retired in 2002 from ICAP where she had worked for Head Start for 10 years as a cook. A member of the Knightstown Friends Church, Marilyn collected Jewel Tea china ware, played piano and accordion. She loved cooking, gardening and caring for her flowers, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Richard Lee Heim of Knightstown, whom she married November 28, 1957; four children, Alan Heim of Knightstown, Nancy (Ronnie) Gross of Knightstown, Debbie Heim of Greenwood and John (Kim) Heim of Carthage; five grandchildren, Joshua (Lydia) Gross, Jennifer (Danny) Marsh, Crystal (Johnny) Korff, Leah Heim and Derek Heim; five great grandchildren, Karsen, Kooper and Kensie Gross, Norah and Ryan Marsh.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Wooldridge.

Private services will be held at Knightstown Friends Church. Private burial will be in Glen Cove Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel.
