Marthine Landers

Marthine Landers, 90, of New Castle passed away, Friday, April 1, 2022 at Glen Oaks Health Campus in New Castle. She was born December 27, 1931 in Crawfordsville, Indiana, a daughter of the late James Thomas and Reva Ialene (Kenyon) Quisenberry.

Through the years, Marthine worked at several local business including Sears, Val, K-Mart, Ben Franklin and Ace Hardware. She enjoyed flower gardening, BINGO, bird watching and sitting on her porch swing, but most of all, she loved being with her family.

Left to cherish her memory are two sons, Blaine (Shari) Landers of Fortville and Brian “Jay” (Maria) Landers of New Castle; two granddaughters, Kacie (Owen) Brummett of New Castle and Lori Landers of Lawrence; great grand children, Karre Landers, Madison Brummett, Corey Robinson, Isaac Robinson and Jasmine Hendrix; two great great grandchildren, Luna and Evie; and several cousins, nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Howard Landers; two sons, Mark Landers and Glenn “Eric” Landers; four brothers and two sisters.

Services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery.
