Max Steve Jordan Jr.

Max Steve Jordan Jr, 61, of Kennard passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at Henry County Community Health. He was born on March 4, 1958 in New Castle a son of the late Max Steve and Kay (Hinsley) Jordan Sr.

Max was a veteran of the US Navy and high school graduate of Shenandoah High School. He was the owner of LD Bait Shop on US 38 in New Castle. Max was an avid Chicago Cubs fan, loved to fish, read and play poker.

Max is survived by his wife of 35 years, Carmelle (McGinnis) Jordan of Kennard; three sons, Max S. (companion, Carah Slover) Jordan III of New Castle, Aaron (Chelsea) Jordan of LA and John Luke (Lea) Jordan of GA; three grandchildren, Dean, Grace and Ruth; sisters, Becky and Brenda; sisters-in-law, Darlene (Gerald) Darling and Catherine (Phil) Roth; also furry grand babies of 5 dogs and 2 cats.

Max was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be held at 3:00 pm Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with the Rev. Steve Arnett officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until start of the service on Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be given to the Max S. Jordan Jr. Memorial Fund c/o Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service.
